Help communities like Margaret’s build resilience against the rising tides

This festive season, families in Solomon Islands are bracing for another potentially devastating cyclone season.

For communities like Margaret’s, frequent cyclones are only one of many hardships caused by the climate crisis.

Margaret says, “When we plant our food, the river will come and destroy it. So we will have no food.”

Pacific Island countries like Solomon Islands are some of the hardest hit by climate change. They face a range of impacts such as rising sea levels, extreme weather events, and saltwater intrusion.

Margaret gardens cabbages on her property and sells them at the market to make her living. But now that life and her home are under threat.
