Our International Crisis Fund ensures that we're able to respond quickly and efficiently, to help those most in need when a natural or a man-made emergency occurs around the globe, like the current devastation wrought by Severe Tropical Cyclone Harold in the Solomon Islands, Fiji and Vanuatu.
When emergencies strike, like the recent flash flooding in East Timor and Papua New Guinea, Oxfam is there, on the ground, providing life-saving food, clean water, shelter, hygiene kits and other essential items.
We move quickly to assess the most vulnerable people affected and we work in partnership with a network of local and international organisations. This means we're maximising our effectiveness and reaching as many people as possible.
By donating to our International Crisis Fund, you're allowing us to respond rapidly to emergencies around the globe. As soon as disaster strikes, we've got the funds at hand to move quickly - and save lives.
Note: Should the funds raised exceed the amount required to meet the immediate and longer term needs of the people in each of the affected areas, Oxfam Australia will direct donations to respond to other emergencies as they occur.
